After writing my last entry I spoke in rhyming sentences for the rest of the afternoon. It's catchy, ya know?
Also, you know how when you make a gigantic declaration from deep down to, say, everyone who stops by your nook of the world wide web? You feel a little bit nervous and a lot Oh shit did I really just say that out loud? afterwards, and while speaking in those rhyming sentences you also look around for medical professionals to come take you away in a new jacket. A straight one, with lots of pretty silver buckles.
It's one thing to feel positive about yourself and keep it a secret. It's one thing to believe that you're about to stumble onto your purpose in life. It is a whole other thing to voice those feelings, even when uttered in a quiet voice.
But not this time. Not with readers and commenters and emailers like you guys. You were all, Oh hey great! Success! Fame! Fortune! I'm coming too! (For sure you'll see dividends off my first whopping check, eh? You know who you are.)
I love you guys.
I was so excited with all of the internet love that I went and dyed my hair. It's a serious milk chocolate brown, and I am tempted to have a little nibble each time I walk past a mirror. Like a thousand Hershey's Sticks cascading from my head and whisping past my brow, I tell you.
Not only that, but I have jumped back on the finish-off-the-diet-already wagon. What has been stopping me? Well, I'll tell you in an entry or two from now. But most of all, I'm ready to pass the finish line and be the healthiest version of myself. Dairy Queen Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blizzards be damned!
(I'm sorry I didn't mean it Dairy Queen take me baaaaaaaaack I love you like the cold frosty sister I never had.)
(Well, I do have a sister, but she is warm and colorful and tastes not of chocolate chips. I bit her arm once. Just skin.)
Also, the little black dress I needed to buy? I get to wear it this weekend as my girlfriend ties that big old knot. That is, right after I finish painting and wallpapering the bathroom. (No I-do's until then. Her future hinges upon it.) What does this mean for you? Likely, oodles of pictures next week.
And if all this exciting news is not enough to make chocolate milk come out your nose, SJ of And All the Jones Men went and nominated me for an award!
It's the Thinking Blogger Award, for bloggers who make you think. I am thrilled and honored. It could come from no better person than my life-twin out in Colorado, who is married to a man who shares a name with my husband, with two little boys the exact age as my little boys, her oldest child also having the same name as my oldest child, and also did I mention that we have both lost massive amounts of weight since the birth of our second children and have twin cameras and love to take pictures? I heart SJ.
In accordance with the Thinking Blogger Award rules, I get to nominate five bloggers who make me think, which is great fun. I'm going to take a bit to think about it, and post next week. In the meantime, who are your absolute favorites? Which bloggers am I not reading that I totally should be?
I'm off to slather myself in paint and wallpaper paste.
Then later I'll paint the bathroom.

First of all, congrats on the nomination! That's definitely a good award to run for, as opposed to "Best Font" or something.
Also, I don't think you're reading her, but Emily's Not That You Asked is a blog I like a lot. And both of Cheeky Lotus's sites on ClubMom and Blogger. Them's good people.
(Links are on my About page's blogroll.)

I think you read all of my favorite blogs. There aren't that many these days, just don't have time.
Uh-um! Where is a picture of your hair missy? Or are you waiting until next week to show it to us so you can show off that little black dress as well?
Congrats on the blog nomination. I second SJ. And man, yall really do have a lot in common.

Just another thing to add to our likeness, chocolate brown hair!

Cool, about the award thing that is, not the paint and wallpaper paste idea. You are going to post pictures of the bathroom too, aren't you. No pressure or anything.
